Accessibility
JayWelaLa is for everyone. We work to make our website and services easy to use for every person.
Our standard
We work to meet the Israeli Standard SI 5568, which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at level AA, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 2013.
For new work we aim for WCAG 2.1 at level AA.
This is a goal we keep working on. Some parts of the site may not fully meet it yet.
What we do
-
Keyboard
Every page can be used with a keyboard only. The selected item always has a clear red outline.
-
Screen readers
Clear headings, landmarks and labels let screen readers read the page in order. Images that only decorate are hidden from them.
-
Contrast and text
Black text on white, and white on red, with strong contrast. You can zoom in and the text grows with you, without being cut.
-
Less motion
If your device is set to reduce motion, the animations on our pages stop.
-
Two languages
English and Arabic. The page mirrors for reading from right to left.
-
Forms
Every field has a label. Errors are written next to the field and screen readers read them out.
Our help protocol
If something on JayWelaLa is hard for you to use, tell us. This is how we handle it:

Write to us by email or WhatsApp. Tell us the page address, what was hard, and, if you want, the device or assistive tool you use.
-
We confirm
We confirm that your message arrived and we read it with care.
-
We help right away
We help you finish what you needed in another way, for example by email or WhatsApp with a person, so you are not stuck.
-

We look for the cause and fix it on the site. We tell you when it is done.
